This table centre/ display setting features the natural heartwood of the original tree, retaining the bark, and showcasing the naturally-ocurring knot/heartwood curl of the tree, which is often cut out of timber for ease of processing.
The sawdust from the carving has been mixed with epoxy resin to create a flat surface. This can be painted gold to mimic the Japanese tradition of ‘Kintsugi’ if desired.
